This is Zena's story: she was left for dead on the side of the road in Mexico after she was hit by a car. A Good Samaritan was driving past and saw her moving. He picked her up and brought her to San Feli[pe Dog Rescue. The shelter immediately went into action and took her to a veterinarian. She was not able to undergo surgery as the vet said by the X-rays there was nothing that could be done. Amy, one of the staff members at SFDR fostered Zena for several months while she healed. She was in a brace and had to be in a small crate so she wouldn't move very much. Little by little this sweet little warrior princess healed with all the love that was given. She is now fostered by another loving person that takes her for acupuncture treatments and along with amazing supplements is she is a super happy little girl. She schooms super fast without her wheelchair and loves to fetch. In her wheelchair, she goes for nice walks and loves smelling everything. When she gets tired she gets pushed in her stroller which she also loves. She is a very loving dog and gets along well with all other dogs and kids. She is very smart and very patient. She wears a diaper during the day and is on a really good routine with potty time. She will be an amazing dog for a retired family or a family who works from home.
